In the Middle East and in Morocco, a young artist was introduced to the art of calligraphy: the Atlas. He works on pavements and also produces large posters that he then pastes onto walls or billboards. He uses duct tape to stick compasses all over town, as well as visual landmarks on the ground to help disoriented passerbys. This book and its 13-minute DVD follow the Atlas on his journey throughout Paris. They explain the meaning of his work and we experience people's reactions to his activities.
