NEW PUBLICATION FOR 2009!
Architect, saxophonist, doctor, homeless person, researcher, soccer player… They are the “êtres à Grenoble” (“beings of Grenoble”). They are the reflection of a city in constant movement, full of mixed emotions and plural energies. This book captures the energies of these twenty-four men and women, met in the streets of the city of Grenoble (French Alps).
The authors, Martine Francillon and Christian Rausch, dedicated themselves to describing their backgrounds and lifestyles with the right words and unusual photographs. They listened with great sensitivity to these charismatic people, who accepted to tell their story with their own colors and asperities. A multitude of personalities, who cross each other’s paths every day, are reunited this time around an exposition and a book that transform these brief encounters into moments of intense sharing.
“Êtres à Grenoble” was meant to establish a dialogue. Behind the walls of the city, men and women make it a genuine place thanks to their minds, actions and names. They give the city its authenticity, its philosophy of life and action, and its soul. Because every city is a mosaic…
“Êtres à Grenoble” was published during the book fair of Grenoble, called the Printemps du livre (from the 25th to the 29th of March 2009). An exposition of these portraits took place on the Victor Hugo square in Grenoble at the same time.
